Do you love to move your body? Does music light you up? Do you yearn to experience more freedom, joy, and bliss in your life?! Or do you simply love to dance and don't resonate with the limited options currently available?
Join us for Sioux Falls first ecstatic dance party! Tuesday and Friday you'll have the opportunity to drop in and gather with other like-minded, open-hearted, soulfully-guided individuals who desire to listen to uplifting music, move their bodies, and do so in a space where it's safe to let go and experience a deeper level of joy and bliss.
Please wear whatever you feel best supports you in fully expressing who you are. It could be yoga pants, jeans, a pair of stilettos with a sexy dress, or a 3-piece suit! This party is for you to come as you are (or how you desire to be) and allow the music to move you in whatever way you desire to be moved. There is no "right" way to dance when it comes to ecstatic dance. There is no "one way" to move your body. If you desire to stand in the corner and listen to the music, you're welcome to do that. If you want to bring a yoga mat and stretch to the music, you can do that, too. If you want to stand in the center of it all and close your eyes and feel the bliss fill your entire body, right on! The purpose is for you to experience what it feels like to be connected to your body and all that is. While there is no "right" or "wrong" when it comes to attending an ecstatic dance party, there are a few simple expectations:
1) Substance and alcohol free (we want you to feel what it feels like to be in your body without the aid or distraction of chemicals)
2) Limited or no talking (we want the focus to be on listening to the music and being in your body)
3)Respect other people's physical and personal space (we want everyone to focus on their own experience free from interruption)
Our intention is to create a sacred space where everyone feels safe to fully and freely express themselves. Anyone who appears to be under the influence or invades someone's space or compromises our intention will kindly be asked to leave.
Suggested donation at the door: $10 (cash or card accepted)
