VENUE AND CAPACITY
How many guests can ICON accommodate for weddings?
Our main hall comfortably seats 400 guests for a plated dinner reception or accommodates 500+ for cocktail-style celebrations. Our Annex provides space for up to 75 guests for more intimate weddings.
Can we have both our ceremony and reception at ICON?
Yes! Most couples host both ceremony and reception at ICON. We can set up for your ceremony and quickly transform the space for your reception while you take photos.
Do you have an outdoor ceremony option?
DaDa Gastropub’s outdoor patio is available for outdoor ceremonies weather permitting. We recommend having an indoor backup plan.
Is the venue climate controlled?
Yes, ICON has heating and air conditioning for year-round comfort.
AMENITIES AND SERVICES
What's included in the venue rental?
Your rental includes tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, silverware, bridal suite, groom’s area, customizable lighting, sound system, setup, teardown, and event coordination.
Is there a bridal suite?
Yes, our bridal suite includes comfortable seating, mirrors, good lighting, and space for your bridal party to prepare and relax throughout the day.
Do you provide a dance floor?
Yes, dance floor area is included along with appropriate lighting for dancing.
Can we decorate the venue?
Yes! Many couples add personal touches and decorations. We’ll discuss decoration guidelines and timing during planning.
Do you allow candles?
We allow candles in approved containers. Open flame candles must follow safety guidelines we’ll provide.
CATERING AND BAR
Who provides wedding catering?
Parker’s Bistro, Sioux Falls’ premier fine dining restaurant, manages all catering for ICON with customizable wedding menus.
Can we bring our own caterer?
We require Parker’s Bistro for food service to ensure quality and proper kitchen facility usage.
Can we do a taste testing?
Yes, Parker’s Bistro offers menu tastings for couples booking weddings at ICON.
What bar options are available?
We offer full-service bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. You can choose cash bar, hosted bar, or drink ticket options.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
No, all alcohol must be provided through ICON’s licensed bar service.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, Parker’s Bistro accommodates vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs with advance notice.
BOOKING AND LOGISTICS
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 9-15 months in advance, especially for popular Saturday evenings. However, we can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines.
When can we access the venue on our wedding day?
Standard rental includes time for vendor setup before your guests arrive. Early access can be arranged if needed.
What are your rental hours?
Standard wedding rental includes 6 hours of event time plus setup and breakdown time. Extended hours are available.
Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available for all wedding guests in downtown Sioux Falls near the venue.
Can we have a rehearsal at the venue?
Yes, ceremony rehearsals can be scheduled the day before your wedding for a small fee.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a deposit is required to secure your wedding date. Details are provided in your venue contract.
Do you allow outside vendors?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own DJ, photographer, florist, and other vendors. We also provide a preferred vendor list.
